Job Description:

• Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
• Repair cracks and holes
• Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
• Prepare walls for painting (Scraping, Sanding, Caulking)
• Paint spraying and coating surfaces
• Performs minor plaster repair, blending newly renovated wall surfaces with existing plaster
• Maintain all tools and equipment
• Adhere to workplace safety rules and regulations
• Operates equipment such as airless spray equipment, scaffolding, and motorized lifts.
• May drive a van to and from the work locations

Requirements:

• Education: Completion of secondary school is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the trade is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary certificate is required.
• Experience using roller painting and brush painting is preferred.
• Experience in drywall taping/patching is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license is an asset.

Salary: $22.00 hourly, 40-45 hours per week.

Important Information:

This position requires flexibility in schedule. The worker will be required to work 5 days per week, 8-9 hours per day, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, (sometimes starting at 8:30am or 9:00am), occasional Saturday’s schedule from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Overtime might be required, including weekends (roughly once every 4-6 weeks) and holidays according to the business needs.
