Permanent Position: Production Supervisor- Forest Products processing (NOC: 92014)

Location: 1702 Foy Street Abbotsford, BC V2T 6B1

Wage Rate: $37 Hourly, for 37.50 Hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Day

Education: Completion of High school. College diploma is an asset.

Experience: Several years of experience in similar supervisory role

Languages: English

Job Duties:

  • Plan, schedule, organize, and direct day-to-day production operations in co-ordination with production and maintenance staff
  • Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programs as required
  • Provide feedback on production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products for continuous improvement, provide input on the efficiency of production and allocation of department staff, reduce cost, and maximize the quality, value, and recovery of lumber produced
  • Provide direction, guidance and support to production team; engage staff to achieve targets, meet expectations, and address deficiencies in a productive and professional manner
  • Ensure the highest safety standards by leading by example and ensuring that the team follows all policies, procedures, practices and regulations
  • Provide detailed and accurate reporting information for safety, production, and performance related matters
  • Prepare production and other reports, Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments
