PROJECT COORDINATOR, BC BUILDS (2 POSITIONS)
($63,318.96 – $72,143.17 Annually)
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Associate VP, BC Builds, the Project Coordinator, BC Builds is responsible for facilitating meetings for BC Builds projects through working with different project partners including public, First Nations, community and non-profit landowners, local and provincial government staff, development consultants and all key stakeholders. He/She/They maintains an action registry for each project and follows up on a regular basis, develops detailed project schedules, coordinates with various parties, and applies appropriate tools and techniques to monitor progress. The position also reviews BC Builds related communication materials, prepares regular content updates for the BC website, and provides information to the media relations team and the provincial government as required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The successful candidate will have the following:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Diploma in business administration, project administration or any other relevant fields.
- Considerable experience in facilitating and driving projects.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the employer.
- Criminal Record Check Required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Some knowledge and understanding of the housing development industry
- Some knowledge and understanding of land use, planning and local government approvals processes
- Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to encourage and incorporate diverse viewpoints
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, conceptual thinking, planning, organization and project leadership skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
- Ability to develop, influence and manage collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to drive and advance projects through challenging situations
- Ability to negotiate, facilitate, influence, persuade, build consensus and resolve conflicts
- Ability to solve complex and challenging issues and make effective decisions
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure in meeting deadlines and changing priorities without compromising the quality of work
