Hours: 40 hours per week. Permanent Full-Time, Shift and Flexible Hours, Evening and Weekend Availability Required
Salary: $34.07 per hour

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for directing and managing the fast-paced daily operations at the Royal Darbar’s restaurant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate their proven experience in restaurant management by skillfully managing and scheduling staff, inventory and implementing operational procedures to maintain excellent service and safety standards in a fast-paced setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the restaurant and evaluate costs;
- Identify measures to cut waste without compromising quality;
- Under the direction of senior management, implement operational and cost management procedures for the restaurant;
- Control restaurant inventory and manage supply levels including monitoring costs and revenue;
- Order food, beverages, and supplies as needed, and maintain relationships with suppliers;
- Resolve customer complaints, ensure high quality customer service is delivered and health and safety regulations are followed;
- Assist with advertising campaigns and promotional offers to boost sales, attract new customers and increase customer loyalty;
- Monitor and track the Royal Darbar’s expenses, budgets, and revenue to ensure the restaurant meets financial targets;
- Create detailed reports weekly, monthly, and annually for expense tracking and present to senior management;
- Oversee recruitment and training of new and current employees on customer service practices and restaurant police, procedures, and service standards;
- Schedule and supervise staff to ensure work is performed effectively and efficiently;
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity;
- Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant’s facilities and equipment to ensure they are well-maintained, clean, and in good working order;
- Coordinate with clients, third parties, and facilities (e.g. Banquets and Reception halls) to organize catering arrangements; and
- Perform other duties as required to support the restaurant’s success and expansion.
Minimum Skills Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required;
- Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food or beverage service management is an asset but not required;
- At least two years of experience in the food service sector is required;
- Past supervisory experience in the food service sector is required;
- Knowledge of and/or experience in preparing and cooking Indian cuisine is strongly preferred but not required;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required; and
- Leadership and organizational skills are required.
