Job Description:

Williams and White Machine Inc., Located at 6307 Laurel Street, Burnaby, BC, V5B 3B3, British Columbia, urgently requires a permanent and full-time Saw filer. We welcome and encourage Youth, New immigrants, Aboriginal people, and asylum seekers with valid work permits to apply.

JOB DUTIES

• Repair, set and sharpen circular saws, router bits and other saw blades according to the specifications.
• Brazing, MIG welding and tempering different kinds of saw blades as per client’s requirements.
• Perform machine alignment, provide preventive maintenance and resetting machine
• Assist in the installation, setup, and demonstration of machinery at client premises, including explaining working precautions and troubleshooting as needed.

Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of Secondary School is required

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of on-the-job experience is required.

Language: English is required.

Number of Positions- 1

Wage – $ 35.00 per hour for 40 hours per week and 4% Vacation Pay OR two weeks paid vacation per year.

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

* Be able to negotiate prices with both clients and suppliers.
* Be conversant with day-to-day business operations.
* Be flexible in working hours including weekends when required.
* CNC machine operation is a plus but not a requirement.
* Tight deadlines, Large workload, Walking and Standing.
* Worksite environment: Noisy, Vibration, Equipment, Machine and Tools
