Senior Finance Officer – Child and Family Services
The Wiikwemkoong Child and Family Services department is seeking a qualified individual to fill the Senior Finance Officer position. Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory (WUT) Child and Family Services oversees and advocates for child and family matters by following the principals and ethics of Wiikwemkoong’s Gchi Naaknigewin, Wiikwemkoong’s Children’s Bill of Rights and Wiikwemkoong Community Standards. This will ensure the services are culturally appropriate to support the community’s children and families in alignment with Anishnaabe values and practices. The Senior Finance Officer will report to the Director of Finance and Director of Child and Family Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will help WUT Child and Family Services program, Director of Child and Family Services, Managers and Supervisors as required.
- Prepare annual budgets for WUT Child and Family Services program.
- Assist the Directors, Managers and Supervisors with monitoring expenditure against individual budget provisions and obtaining explanations for variances.
- Prepare reports to funders in a timely manner.
- Monitor revenues and compare funding agreements
- Maintain confidentiality of information in relation to all services and financial details of WUT and Child and Family Services program.
- Ensure all government funding agreements and contracts are maintained for all new projects within an accurate filing system.
- Manage internal and external relationships and correspondence with funders.
REQUIREMENTS
- Post Secondary diploma in business administration or accounting
- Must have experience in working with various levels of government
- Chartered Professional Accounting designation or willingness to attain Chartered Aboriginal Financial Management (CAFM) Certification.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in financial management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Salary: $93,897.00
