Job Description:

• Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
• Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowel
• Align and straighten tiles
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
• Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
• Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
• Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
• Install tile strips

Requirements:

-Education: Completion of secondary school is required

-Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate is required.

-Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Ability to distinguish between colours, Attention to detail, Large workload, Repetitive tasks.

-Personal suitability: Accurate, Judgement, Team player, Organized, Dependability, Reliability, Hardworking.

-Language: English is required.

Salary: $34.07 hourly, 35 Hours per week.

Important information

Work schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (It includes two breaks of 30 minutes each – both paid).
