We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Underpinning Carpenter to join our team and contribute to our growing success.

Position: Underpinning Carpenters (NOC 72310)

Wage rate: $34.62/hr

Job type: Permanent, Full time.

Language: English

Start date of employment: As soon as possible

Education: Completion of high school is required. College Diploma will be an asset.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in construction

Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland.

Job Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans to determine underpinning requirements and specifications.
• Prepare layouts and ensure compliance with building codes using precision measuring tools.
• Excavate and prepare sites for underpinning projects, including basement and crawl space lowering.
• Build and install temporary supports, shoring systems, and other stabilization structures.
• Construct and install foundation reinforcements, including concrete formwork, beams, and structural supports.
• Perform foundation and structural repairs, ensuring stability and safety of existing structures.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and team members to ensure project success.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Supervise apprentices and assist in training new team members.

Working Conditions:

• Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.
• Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.
• Repetitive task.
• Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
