The Acadia First Nation has acquired nearly five hectares of land along Hammonds Plains Road for an urban reserve.

In June, a federal order in council added 4.9 hectares of Hammonds Plains Road land to Acadia’s five reserves, which are spread out along the South Shore from Yarmouth to Halifax.
