Call for applications: Sport and Recreation Awards and Scholarship

The Department of Community Services’ Sport and Recreation Division is now accepting applications and nominations for the following programs:

Sport Awards: Do you know someone who has made an extraordinary contribution to the development of sport in Nunavut? We want to recognize their impact. Nominations are open now in the following categories:

• Male and Female athlete of the year
• Team of the year
• Official of the year
• Coach of the year
• Administrator of the year
• Special Recognition Award

How to apply/nominate:

1. Please visit the Sport Awards Program page.
2. Download and complete an application package.
3. Submit before June 27, 2025.

Sport and Recreation Scholarship Program: Scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence, leadership in the community, and demonstrated passion for advancing sport and recreation in Nunavut. Open to all Nunavut students pursuing a post-secondary program in the field of physical education, kinesiology, sport administration, sport sciences, or recreation at a recognized college or university. Scholarship applications are now open for eligible students.
