Canada has signed a $1.1 billion settlement with survivors of Canada’s Indian hospitals.
The federal government has offered to settle a class-action lawsuit that was seeking damages for the mistreatment of former patients in federal Indian hospitals.
We spoke with Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Gary Anandasangaree about what this all means.
