Yellowknife, NWT, December 15, 2010 – Dehcho Regional Helicopters is pleased to announce that its ownership group now includes the business arm of the Pehdzeh Ki First Nation (PKFN) in Wrigley.

“This is an extremely exciting time for our partnership,” said JoAnne Deneron, Dehcho Regional Helicopters President. “With the Chief and Council in Wrigley opting to invest in our company we now have the region completely covered from a geographic perspective – the traditional lands of our partnership group now extend to every corner of the Dehcho.”In addition to PKFN, Dehcho Regional Helicopters is a joint-venture partnership that includes the investment entities of Acho Dene Koe First Nation in Fort Liard, Fort Simpson Metis Local 52, Nahanni Butte Dene Band, Sambaa K’e Dene Band in Trout Lake and Jean Marie River First Nation. All flight operations for this partnership are conducted by Great Slave Helicopters Ltd.

Dehcho Regional Helicopters owns its own Eurocopter AS350 B2 registered under the call letters DCV. The business is primarily operated out of two regional bases, one in Fort Liard and the other in Fort Simpson.

Great Slave had operated a revenue sharing partnership with PKFN in Wrigley for several years prior, but being a part of Dehcho Regional Helicopters now gives them a share in a company that continually builds wealth for its owners.

“We are very happy to replace that partnership with this new stake in Dehcho Regional Helicopters,” said PKFN Chief Tim Lennie. “We now have an equity investment in the helicopter world and that’s something tangible which allows us to generate revenue outside our traditional territory.”
