Environmental Assessment Bulletin

The Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, has announced the following relative to Environmental Assessment – Part 10 – of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:

Gander Area Queensway North Mineral Exploration                       (Reg. 2343)

Proponent: New Found Gold Corp.

The proponent is proposing to continue advanced mineral exploration activities including core drilling on the Queensway North property located northeast of the communities of Appleton and Glenwood. Site access would be primarily by existing forest access roads and trails. The undertaking was registered on January 10, 2025; the deadline for public comment is February 14, 2025, and the minister’s decision is due by February 24, 2025.

Proponent: Infini Newfoundland and Labrador Inc.
