Sunchild First Nation will open a new office in Red Deer next month

Sunchild First Nation is set to open a new office in Red Deer in December that will serve as an urban base offering support and resources to members living away from the community.

The Cree First Nation is located about 150 kilometres northwest of Red Deer. About 750 members live in the community, while about 800 live in Red Deer, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and even the United States.

The new office is aimed at making many administrative services easier to access for these members, including band registries, financial support for students and families seeking any type of support.
