The flood warning for the Gogama and Mattagami First Nation areas has been extended.

The Ministry of Natural Resources announced today that the advisory is now in place until Thursday, May 8.

“Residents in and around Minisinakwa Lake, including Gogama and Mattagami First Nation, should keep a close watch on conditions, regularly check for updated messages, and stay away from fast-moving rivers and streams. Residents are advised that there is a potential risk of flooding in the coming days,” reads the advisory.
