Throughout June, Milton’s Crawford Lake Conservation Area is honouring National Indigenous History Month with a meaningful series of events called Voices of the Land – a celebration of Indigenous stories, art, teachings, and traditions.

The series brings together Indigenous leaders, Knowledge Keepers, artists, and storytellers from across Turtle Island to share their experiences and culture with the community.

As part of the festivities, visitors are invited to “Pinch Pots and Stories” on Saturday, June 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This special day, held in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day, will give guests the chance to explore the site’s reconstructed longhouses and create their own traditional clay pinch pot to take home.
