Indigenous languages: Visualization tool, 2021
Today, Statistics Canada has launched an interactive data visualization tool, “Indigenous languages: Visualization tool.”
Using data from the 2021 Census of Population, this interactive tool provides various statistics on Indigenous languages such as the number of speakers, people with an Indigenous mother tongue as well as people who acquired it as a second language. Data on home languages and silent speakers are also presented. Geographic breakdowns include Canada, the provinces, Inuit Nunangat and those living on and off reserve.
