Today Indigenous Health Today and NationTalk speaks with Leah WalkerExecutive Director at Kilala Lelum. Leah is has over 20 years of Indigenous health leadership, including her current role and previous to this role she was the Associate Director, Education at UBC Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Health, where she led programs generating Indigenous knowledges such as the UBC Learning Circle, supported Indigenous programming such as UBC Summer Science, Health Administration and participated in cultural safety research, developed curriculum and taught in the Faculty of Medicine.

Today, we discuss the upcoming Virtual Town Hall on March 9th, 2021 at 11:00 am PST, Presented by Indigenous Health Today and powered by TELUS, where the goal will be to drive a meaningful, community building discussion with Ke lala Lee lum and TELUS representatives surrounding the need for Indigenous-focused healthcare offerings for Canadians in Vancouver’s East Side.
