Media Advisory: Minister Dempster Participating in Arctic Circle Assembly

The Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister of Labrador Affairs, is participating in the 2024 Arctic Circle Assembly from October 17-19 in Reykjavik, Iceland.
The assembly is the largest annual international gathering on Arctic and northern issues. The event brings together representatives of governments, organizations, universities, policy institutes and Indigenous Governments and Organizations. Discussions are focused on international engagement and cooperation in areas such as economic development, energy and food security, and climate change.
