Metis Nation – Saskatchewan Call for Proposals
The Métis Nation exists to represent and work for Metis people in their quest for equitable, socioeconomic development within Saskatchewan. This includes, but is not limited to; advocating on the citizen’s behalf, entering into agreements with industry, federal and provincial governments, accessing resources to carry out projects and activities, acting as an administrative body for the citizens, and promoting health, education and governance initiatives. The MNS is the governing body for the Métis citizens within Saskatchewan and operates under the legal instrument: The Métis Act (Chapter M-14.01 of The Statutes of Saskatchewan, 2001(effective January 28, 2002)).
Project Description
The Metis Nation – Saskatchewan is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to undertake a Youth Engagement Pilot Project. The pilot will focus on engaging post-secondary students in the processes and activities of the MN-S. The overall goal of this event will be to increase the awareness of youth regarding the activities of the Metis Nation – Saskatchewan, as well as increasing the number of post – secondary Metis students registered with the Nation.
Deliverables
The successful candidate will be expected to produce a report on the activities, outlining the structure of the event, participation numbers, registration numbers, the successes and barriers to such an event, and any other items that are negotiated throughout the activity.
Estimated Project Duration
December 1 to February 22.
Bids may not exceed $11,000.00
