MNBC is proud to announce the winners of the Nakaatchihtow Arts and Culture Project Grant
Surrey, B.C. Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) is proud to announce the winners of the Nakaatchihtow Arts and Culture Project Grant. The Nakaatchihtow (the Michif word for ‘skill’, pronounced na-katch-i-tow) Arts and Culture Project Grant supports projects initiated and directed by MNBC. The final grant recipients were selected by MNBC’s Culture and Heritage Working group.
Recipients include:
- Kaija Heitland
- Savanna Todd
- John Bell
- Earlene Bitterman
- Lisa Shepard
- Nevada Christianson
- Erin Stagg
- Mia Yule
Projects include a ribbon skirt teaching circle, a Métis fiddle making mentorship, a Métis themed podcast, murals and more.
We look forward to highlighting the projects as they come to life and seeing the impact they have on the community.
