Industry came together with Indigenous people to discuss meaningful partnerships

A fair partnership between industries and Indigenous communities was the theme that emerged from an event hosting discussions on economic reconciliation at the Grey Eagle Resort, which drew more than 1,000 people from across Canada.

And the journey begins with promoting self-governance among Indigenous communities and educating Canadians about their history and how the legacy of colonization continues to impact them, said Rod Miller, president and chief operating officer of Connect Partnership Group, the event producer of Forward Summit West, the largest gathering in the country focused on economic reconciliation.
