Join the Department of Community and Government Services Consumer Affairs division as we celebrate Financial Literacy Month throughout November. Financial literacy refers to the skills, knowledge, and habits that enable an individual to make informed choices about their finances.

As part of the 2021-2026 National Financial Literacy Strategy, this year’s theme is “Money on your Mind. Talk about it!” A campaign led by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada to destigmatize discussions about money by encouraging everyone to share their financial experiences and ask questions.

Money talks can be intimidating but it is one of the most effective ways to share knowledge and resources about financial education. Break the stigma around money and start the conversation!
