Nationtalk speaks with Pamela Jeffery who in 2009 founded the Canadian Board Diversity Council with a mandate from the federal government to increase the board representation of women, members of visible minority groups, Aboriginal peoples including First Nations, Inuit and Métis and persons with disabilities.
The Canadian Board Diversity Council (CBDC) and the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) will hold two joint Summits on Governance with business and community leaders on Wednesday April 29th in Vancouver at the Four Seasons and Thursday, May 14th at the Westin Calgary. In this unique collaboration, they are holding a critical national dialogue about the merits of stronger collaboration between Corporate Canada and Aboriginal business leaders.
