Regina, Saskatchewan – Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20, 2025, to attend the First Nations University of Canada’s (FNUniv) Annual Spring Celebration Powwow in Regina, Saskatchewan.
FNUniv’s Spring Celebration Powwow Committee invites everyone to participate in the longest-running indoor Powwow in Western Canada. The Brandt Centre, REAL District, is the set location for 2-days full of dancing, singing, and celebrating the change of another season.
With 32 dance category competitions and family and committee dance specials, attendees will witness the spectacular styles and regalia of our beautiful culture and hear top-class singers and drum groups from across Canada and the United States competing in the Singing Competition. Other highlights include the crowning of the 2025 Miss FNUniv and the Indigenous Tradeshow.
“Another powwow season is upon us, and we are excited to bring this long-lived Spring Celebration Powwow to the community once again. The Powwow embodies the pride of the First Nations University of Canada’s students, staff, faculty, and alums. The connection and energy a powwow brings to the spirit is like no other feeling. If you haven’t already made our Powwow one of your places to visit this year, I suggest you add it to your calendar!” says Bonnie Rockthunder, Chair of the 2025 Spring Celebration Powwow. “The Powwow Committee will announce the head staff in the new year, and we know that their combined years of expertise will help to make our powwow a highlight of the 2025 season!”
Additional details about the event will be announced in the new year.
