Selkirk Metals Corp.: Environmental Reclamation Award-Catface Project, British Columbia

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – Sept. 24, 2009 – Selkirk Metals Corp. (“Selkirk” or the “Company”) (TSX VENTURE:SLK) is pleased to announce that it was awarded a Citation for outstanding achievement for reclamation at a mineral exploration site for its work on the Catface Property in the summer of 2008. This award recognizes Selkirk’s efforts to complete exploration drilling work while preserving the natural environment in its project area. Furthermore, this award acknowledges the contribution to the project made by the Ahousaht First Nation personnel which represented approximately 75% of the workforce. The design, implementation, decommissioning and reclamation of the 2008 exploration drilling area was conducted in cooperation with the leadership of the Ahousaht First Nation in an effort to maximize the benefit to the Ahousaht Community and honor our joint obligation to preserve as much as possible the environment within which we are working.This award was presented to Selkirk on September 16, 2009 by the Technical Research Committee on Reclamation at its recently convened 33rd Annual British Columbia Mine Reclamation Symposium held in Cranbrook BC. The Company is extremely pleased and honored to have received this award and intends to continue to strive to meet or exceed its obligations to the environment and the greater community within its project areas.
