Employment was little changed in April (+7,400; +0.0%) and the employment rate declined 0.1 percentage points to 60.8%. The unemployment rate increased by 0.2 percentage points to 6.9%.
Number of employees in the agriculture sector, 2023
There were 280,798 employees in the agriculture sector in 2023, up 0.9% from 2022.
Farm product prices, March 2025
Monthly provincial prices received by farmers in March for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available.
Residential Renovation Price Index, first quarter 2025
In the first quarter of 2025, residential renovation costs increased 0.3%, following a 0.5% increase in the fourth quarter of 2024. This was the smallest quarterly increase since the second quarter of 2020.

Data from the Architectural, Engineering and Related Services Price Index (2018=100) are now available for the first quarter.
