Fires at Angus Bonner Memorial United and Samson United follow a string of other burnings and acts of vandalism

Two United Church communities are reeling following separate church fires in the span of less than a month.
Rev. Murray Pruden, the executive minister with Indigenous Ministries & Justice, shared the news via a Facebook post on Monday.
The fire at Angus Bonner Memorial United in South Indian Lake, Man. happened Sunday night, Pruden told Broadview. He said that he first learned about it by email from church members. South Indian Lake is located roughly 316 kilometres northwest of Thompson, Man. Communication issues with the community have also complicated matters, leaving the scope of the damage to the church still unknown.
