You are invited to submit a proposal for COO Education Sector: First Nation Post-Secondary Transition Intervention Supports.

The project will aim to:

• Research and gather existing age-appropriate intervention strategies across the lifelong learning journey and where the learner is at.  his research will examine (but not limited to) effective ways to communicate with various age groups and activities to engage First Nation learners in exploring possible careers and post-secondary education pathways to determine appropriate interventions,
• Highlight existing best practices in First Nations and gaps, ensuring all regional perspectives/circumstances are considered and included.,
• Address the needs of diverse learners, including mature students and those with families, Consider all forms of post-secondary education, including mainstream colleges and universities, Indigenous Institutes, and the trades,
• Resource that includes actionable strategies to be shared with the 133 First Nations in Ontario for implementation,
• Recommendations for advocacy or access to funding to implement in First Nation communities.

Submission deadline is May 29, 2025 at 5 pm.  Selection of the consultant will be awarded on June 9 2025, 2025.
