Description
TTC is required to provide accurate real-time transit information and customer communication/information to the public. As of Q4 2024, 205 LED signs with real-time customer communication/information were installed in bus/streetcar shelters. However, some other bus/streetcar shelters still do not have electronic signs due to the surrounding infrastructure and conditions. To address this gap, TTC is seeking to pilot a new Digital Sign Display system aimed at overcoming infrastructure challenges that currently hinder the effective and efficient delivery of real-time passenger information – such as next vehicle arrivals, service disruption alerts, and other key updates. The Pilot project is to evaluate Outdoor Real-Time Passenger Information Digital Sign Displays from up to three (3) different Suppliers. These Digital Sign Displays will be installed at i) bus stop poles; ii) streetcar stop poles; and iii) exterior of downtown subway station entrances Each supplier shall provide up to twenty-five (25) Digital Sign Displays, with display types customized to meet the specific requirements of the designated locations (refer to Sections 5.4 and 8.0 for location details – Appendix A Schedule 1.02 Scope of Deliverables).
