Description

The Indus Recreation Centre (centre) resides on an 18.61 acre parcel located at the intersection of Highway 791 and Township Road 225A. The property is under ownership of Rocky View County; however, the existing centre was constructed and is managed by the Bow Valley Agricultural Society (BVAS). Building amenities includes an indoor ice rink, community hall, meeting rooms and a kitchen. The grounds include a riding arena, two ball diamonds, and sports fields.

A new skating rink facility is proposed on the same site as the Indus Recreation Centre. The building footprint is estimated at 35,000 Square Feet (3,252 SQ.M) and include: NHL sized ice surface, dressing rooms, washrooms, seating areas, and meeting room. Optional amenities include a weight room and/or a running track. Building amenities will be finalized through a Needs Assessment. Request for Proposals: This RFP is for site civil works including preliminary cost estimates, design of parking lot, facility access road, off-site road improvements, stormwater management, and site servicing.

Project Scope
This Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks submissions from qualified consultants interested in undertaking the pivotal role of Engineering Consultant for a new skating rink facility, encompassing planning and preliminary design of site works. Upon the conclusion of the RFP process, the County aims to establish a comprehensive contract with the selected proponent to assist the design team in site planning and development.
