RFP for the Gaming Revenue Fund
Addendum 1.1
Distribution Date: 2025-05-02
RFP Name: Curve Lake First Nation – Consultant Services for the Review and Update of the Policies and Procedures for the Gaming Revenue Fund
Type of Competition: Open Competition
Please note that this addendum is a public document. In response to questions and requests for clarification from potential respondents:
1. Is there a preferred timeline for completing the project, or a target date when you would like to receive the final project deliverables? For example, are you aiming to have the new policy and procedures in place and operational by next fiscal year (or even earlier)?
- The current committee’s aim is to have the project completed by mid-October to align with the transition period following the June election. The committee will continue to function alongside the newly elected Councillors until a new committee is formally appointed, three months post-election. This transitional overlap ensures continuity and an opportunity for collaboration.
The final timeline for project completion will depend on the proposals received. We are open to considering timelines that either expedite the process to allow the current committee to complete the work or extend the timeline to incorporate input from the newly appointed committee. While the organization has been operating under the same policies and procedures for over twenty years, with incremental updates, the current committee is eager to achieve substantial progress on this project. Their objective is to complete the majority of the work to ease the burden on the incoming committee.
2. What is the overall level of ongoing “training and support” anticipated to be in relation to the updated policies and procedures? (That is — Is this anticipated to be ‘ongoing’ for a period of time after project wrap up or only for a period of time after the new policies and procedures are in place?). Is the emphasis on preparing materials for training OR on actual delivery of training [reference: p. 9]?
- The committee does not anticipate ongoing training and support from the consultant beyond the implementation of the updated policies and procedures. The emphasis is on the development of training materials rather than the direct delivery of training. The consultant’s role is to create comprehensive materials designed for a train-the-trainer approach, ensuring that internal trainers can effectively conduct sessions for potential applicants, the committee, community and Council.
3. Do you have a general budget range established for this project/RFP?
- A budget will not be announced.
