AFOA Canada is offering a 2 day capacity development workshop on Strategic Planning in First Nations on November 18 & 19, 2010 in Saskatoon, SK.
Strategic Planning in First Nation communities is an essential component of community development. A strategic plan is a road map to lead a community from where it is now to where it would like to be in five or ten years. Learn how to engage the right people within the community and understand the resources required to make your strategic plan a reality. Learn what the key components of a successful strategic plan are and how to measure progress on your community’s strategic plan.Topics to be covered:
· How do you identify your strategic vision?
· How do you identify resources required and performance indicators?
· What is the process that is followed?
· How do you evaluate and report on your strategic plan?
Case studies will be included. These and more issues will be explored in this workshop.
