Position:  Classroom Teacher

Term: Permanent Full-Time, 10-month position, September to June (inclusive)

Department: Standing Stone School

Division: Life Long Learning

Salary: Competitive salary range, annual school calendar salary prorated over 12-months

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30a.m. to 4:00p.m.

Job Summary:

Oneida Nation of the Thames is a First Nation Settlement located near the City of London, Ontario. Standing Stone School offers FDK through Grade 6 programming for approximately 190 students.

We are seeking a dedicated Classroom Teacher to join our school. The position offers a competitive salary, benefits, and leave policies, with a supportive work environment. Ongoing training and professional development opportunities are provided to ensure high-quality programming in safe and healthy facilities.

Duties and responsibilities will be outlined in the lesson plan document or description specific to the class or subject you are assigned. As a Classroom Teacher, you will report directly to the Principal of Standing Stone School.

Education:

  1. Ontario College of Teachers certificate in good standing.
  2. New graduates awaiting their Ontario College of Teachers certification are welcome to apply.

Experience:

  1. Preference to candidates with experience working in a First Nation school environment.
  2. Preference to candidates with extensive knowledge and experience working in the following areas: Oneida Language and Culture, Physical Education, or Music and Art.
