JOB SUMMARY: The Compensation Specialist reports to and works under the direction and supervision of the Director of Human Resources.
PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
The Compensation Specialist is responsible for overseeing, implementing, and evaluating the compensation program across the organization. Key responsibilities include conducting job evaluations, prepare and maintain job compensation levels, market analysis, maintain and update job descriptions and conduct regular audits of the organization compensation program.
The Compensation Specialist will work closely with the Human Resources team to ensure that all compensation plans are fair, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements. The Compensation Specialist will conduct surveys and benchmark studies to compare salaries and benefits offered by similar organizations and use this information to make recommendations for changes or updates to the organization’s compensation plans (specifically Phase 2).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in compensation, preferably in a complex environment.
- Experience with compensation software and database
- Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the human resources compensation field and a solid understanding of compensation practices and trends.
- Experience with Pay-Setting and Compensation, Benchmarking, and Salary Surveys.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-experts.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- In-depth knowledge of compensation legislation and regulations.
- Must have the ability to analyze and problem solve to recommend solutions.
- Team player with superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
