Job Summary:

The Restaurant Supervisor at Doughbox St. Thomas oversees the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and leads the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. This role ensures the Doughbox St. Thomas team provides high-quality, made-to-order pizzas, calzones, and salads with efficient and smooth service. By managing staff, maintaining operational standards, and fostering a positive work environment, the Restaurant Supervisor plays a key role in upholding the Doughbox commitment to personalized, fresh, and flavorful dining for every customer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, oversee, and supervise the restaurant’s daily operations and staff;
  • Monitor food quality and freshness and ensure that all restaurant and catering products meet the restaurant’s standards
  • Create weekly staff schedules and assign duties and tasks to employees according to restaurant’s needs;
  • Conduct regularly scheduled reviews of inventory and maintain records to identify areas of concern and provide solutions to minimize loss and improving food costs;
  • Monitor, inspect and manage inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies to ensure adequate stock for daily operations;
  • Manage and monitor the restaurant’s inventory by maintaining precise records and coordinating weekly food and supply orders with Doughbox suppliers;
  • Monitor and track restaurant expenses, budgets, and revenues;
  • Ensure kitchen and front-of-house staff members are consistently providing high quality and professional service to customers;
  • Assist in hiring staff and training employees on restaurant policies, customer service procedures, and health and safety regulations;
  • Collaborate with owner to identify methods of minimizing operational costs;
  • Complete restaurant opening and closing duties, in addition to overseeing the restaurant’s customer reservation system;
  • Inspect food preparation and storage areas to ensure cleanliness and organization according to health and safety regulations;
  • Perform inspections on kitchen and food preparation equipment to ensure proper maintenance;
  • Address customer comments, questions, and concerns promptly and
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Skills Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school is required;
  • Must have completed a post-secondary program in culinary management, food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or in a related field OR must have at least one (1) year of experience in food preparation or service;
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is strongly preferred but not required;
  • Must be dependable, reliable and have effective interpersonal skills.
