Community Statement: Fire at a Local Business

OHSWEKEN, ON (January 28, 2025) – Six Nations Fire & Emergency Services responded promptly to reports of activated alarms at 3500 Fourth Line and encountered significant fire conditions upon arrival. Thanks to their efforts and support from Haldimand County Fire Services, the fire was successfully extinguished, with no injuries reported.

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has been engaged to conduct a thorough investigation into the origin and cause of the fire. This investigation is ongoing in collaboration with the Six Nations Police Service.

“It is unfortunate to see a valued business impacted by this fire, but we are grateful for no injuries or fatalities. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all personnel involved for their rapid response,” said Acting Fire Chief Michael Seth.
