Show set to air on the History Channel follows first responders around the territory
Yukon first responders are the subject of a new TV show that will be airing on the History Channel, starting Nov. 7.
According to representatives of the network, the documentary series follows a variety of first responders and emergency crews in the territory: fire departments, tow truck drivers, avalanche technicians, conservation officers, Civil Air Search and Rescue, First Nations land guardians and more. Its first season was filmed around the territory including in Whitehorse, Carmacks and Dawson City.
Among those profiled in the show were Dawson City fire chief Mike Masserey and volunteer firefighter Owen Kemp-Griffin.
