Dozens charged in First Nation drug trafficking ring – Winnipeg Free Press

Twenty-seven people have been charged after a six-month investigation into a drug trafficking operation in a northern Manitoba First Nation.
Dubbed Project Derry, the probe was launched following several violent incidents in Bunibonibee Cree Nation, including an arson that burned down the community’s band office.
RCMP announced Friday 51 charges were laid against 27 suspects, with more expected. Eighteen of the 27 accused live in Bunibonibee with the remaining from Winnipeg and Thompson.
