Final homelessness report presented – Sarnia and Lambton County This Week

More affordable housing, community collaboration and outreach are needed to combat homelessness within Chatham-Kent, municipal councillors heard on Monday.

Chantal Perry, program manager for employment and social services, presented the final homelessness registry report. Registry week took place in April of last year.

She noted that while many people might have a roof over their heads today, it’s often an unstable situation.

“It’s very precarious and it’s day-to-day, or month-to-month,” she said.
