Heiltsuk Tribal Council: Notice of Election – 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Heiltsuk Nation has called an election in accordance with the Heiltsuk Custom Election Rules (2020), for the purpose of electing six (6) Councillors for a four (4) year term.

Regular Voting Place & Time – July 12, 2022 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Big House 223 Wabalisla Street, Bella Bella

Advanced Voting Place & Time – July 10, 2022 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Hotel Chateau Granville 1100 Granville Street, Vancouver

Remote Ballot packages will be sent to all eligible electors ordinarily residing off reserve, to their last known address of record with the Nation. They may vote by Mail-in Ballot, Electronic Ballot or in-person. Eligible electors ordinarily residing in Bella Bella may request a remote ballot package by contacting the Electoral Officer. It is your responsibility to ensure your address is up to date. You may contact the Electoral Officer to update your address. **NOTE** If a voter casts more than one vote in the Election, all of their ballots will be rejected and the Elector will forfeit their right to vote in the Election.

Online Voting: If you registered to vote online for the 2021 elections, you remain registered for the 2022 elections and a confirmation email will be sent June 7th to confirm your registration.
