King Charles III’s Coronation Medals
November 15, 2024
Rideau Hall has created a Canadian commemorative medal to mark the May 6, 2023 coronation of King Charles III. Some
30,000 medals will be presented by 94 nominating partners, including ITK and Pauktuutit, the only Inuit organizations on the list. ITK has been allocated a total of 120 medals of which the Nunatsiavut Government will receive 14 to be awarded to Beneficiaries of the Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement.
The medals must be awarded to individuals who have made significant contribution to the country, province, territory, region, or community, or outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada.
All recipients must have been alive on May 6, 2023, must be individuals, not partners or groups, and must not have been convicted of a criminal offence or sanctioned by a professional or other adjudicating body.
If you wish to nominate an individual for a medal, please do so by November 29, 2024
