MEDIA ADVISORY – BC First Nations gather in Vancouver to hear from climate change experts and discuss community impacts; Dr. David Suzuki to provide keynote address

(xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh)/VANCOUVER, BC, April 4, 2025 – First Nations leaders and representatives will in Vancouver, at the invitation of the First Nations Summit, to participate in the BC First Nations Climate Gathering taking place on April 7th and 8th at the Musqueam Community Centre.
Participants will hear from numerous climate change experts about the changes that we need to prepare for and about what the impacts of climate change will mean for BC First Nations traditional territories, citizens, cultures and ways of life.
The two-day gathering will begin with a keynote by renowned scientist, broadcaster and environmentalist, Dr. David Suzuki. Media are invited to attend Dr. Suzuki’s keynote address to the gathering.
