Media advisory – Government of Canada to announce support for research at postsecondary institutions across Canada

OTTAWA, ON, Nov. 13, 2024  -Yasir Naqvi, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health, on behalf of the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, will announce new recipients of funding to support science and innovation in Canada.

The announcement will begin with a short presentation by Carmen Robertson, Canada Research Chair in North American Indigenous Visual and Material Culture, Carleton University, and will end with a panel discussion with four researchers from institutions based in the National Capital Region and York University, to discuss their ambitious research projects.

Media availability will follow the announcement, and media are encouraged to attend the presentation by Carmen Robertson and the networking event to engage with researchers.
