MNBC is pleased to provide the 2008-2009 Operational Strategy for the Métis Nation British Columbia. The 2008-2009 Operational Plan is the culmination of a number of internal planning activities and has been endorsed by the MNBC Board of Directors.

The 2008-2009 Operational Strategy will replace the MNBC Presidential Monthly Updates for February and March 2008.

Preamble:

The following document will identify an operational strategy for the Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) as MNBC prepares for operations beginning April 1st, 2008 and ending March 31st, 2009. The Proposed Operational Strategy has been developed to focus on the MNBC Senior Management Team and Administrative Operations only. MNBC Operational requirements within the MNBC Ministry will continue to be developed and include approval with the MNBC Board of Directors. A number of documents and preliminary work has guided the development of the 2008-2009 operational strategy. The work included a review of the MNBC Five Year Forecast, MNBC 2007-2008 Targets, MNBC Contribution Agreements, MNBC Professional Development, MNBC Senior Management Team Input, and the 2007- 2008 administrative funding expenditures. It is important to note that the operational strategy is dependent on a number of factors and may be subject to change throughout the year.
