Fire crews on scene, says Natuashish RCMP

Emergency crews were on the scene of a major fire at the Mushuau Innu First Nation band council office early Friday morning.

The fire comes just after the council held an election and announced results on Facebook late Thursday night.

Outgoing Mushuau Innu Band Council Chief John Nui said he was awoken around 3:00 a.m. by a call from his wife informing him of the fire.
