Indigenous women’s groups to join gathering about Saskatchewan’s approach to national inquiry

Saskatchewan residents who want a say in the national inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women connected in Regina today.

A symposium is being held at the Travelodge Hotel on Albert Street on Thursday and Friday to discuss what role Saskatchewan will play in the inquiry.

The inquiry is to take place over the next two years across the country. Commissioners are instructed to identify systemic causes of violence against Indigenous women and girls and recommend “concrete action” to help end the violence.
