Truth and Reconciliation: Culture is Healing
Credit: The College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Reconciliation is a continuous journey, calling all of us to listen, learn and reflect on the history and lived experiences of Indigenous peoples. Hear from Dr. Nicole Blackman, RN, and Christi-Ann Poulette, RN, from the Indigenous Primary Health Care Council (IPHCC) on reconciliation and Indigenous health care.
IPHCC is an Indigenous governed, culture-based and Indigenous-informed organization that supports the advancement and evolution of Indigenous primary health care service provision and planning throughout Ontario.
As the regulator for nursing in Ontario, CNO is committed to embedding cultural safety, cultural humility and respect in our work. We thank IPHCC for filming this video at their offices located on the traditional territory of Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, and acknowledge David R. Maracle, the Indigenous artist behind the music in this video.
